More positive progress for VBT

As most of you know Brett is having Vertebral Body Tethering (VBT) surgery on (tentative) August 23. This is a very new procedure which is less invasive but because the first one was done in 2010 insurance companies fight for parents to pay for this procedure. In 2019 it was FDA approved. And now, today we just received more good news that with his insurance, Anthem, VBT is now listed as a covered procedure. This is huge because it not only shows that the procedure works, but now other children also covered under Anthem will not have to worry about medical costs


If you're interested at all, see attached PDF of some successful VBT surgeries, done by our doctor as well. We are filled with hope and belief that God will see our boy through and this will all be a thing of the past. One more challenge our kid just "knocked out of the park"
